Calculating cost of leases

FleetPartners has launched a new online vehicle lease calculator and car selector tool to help business owners and fleet managers browse, compare and learn the estimated cost of leasing a range of models.
The business vehicle leasing specialist says the digital tool can provide the estimated bundled costs of more than 600 different new make and model variants.
Users are able to search for vehicles suitable for their business and then create a shortlist to compare the expected weekly and monthly lease payments.
Searches can be done by vehicle types, including utes, vans, sedans and SUVs, and results can be further refined for specific makes, fuel types, drive trains, number of seats or price range.
Cristy Spencer, pictured, head of marketing and channel sales, says the calculator is the latest step in the company’s support of its business customers, car manufacturers and dealers through its omni-channel technology solutions.
“Because the lease payment includes exclusive use of the vehicle for the life of the lease and most running costs like registration, servicing and replacement tyres, it’s now possible to digitally compare the potential total cost of ownership of a vehicle,” she adds.
“Rather than just focusing on the RRP, a bundled lease helps compare the often-forgotten running costs of a vehicle like depreciation to its expected resale value, and how much it costs to service and maintain the vehicle while using it for your business.”
Spencer notes the calculator allows businesses, particularly those with smaller fleets of two to 20 vehicles, to research vehicles and pricing online before contacting a fleet company or going into a dealership.
