Marques ready for Fieldays

About a dozen new-vehicle brands will be eager to impress the thousands of visitors expected to flood through the gates at Fieldays this week.

A number of automotive companies are among the more than 1,100 exhibitors displaying their wares at Mystery Creek Events Centre for the southern hemisphere’s largest agricultural event from June 10-13.

Organisers say visitors can expect a wide range of products and services from cutting-edge agri-tech and advanced farm machinery to artisan food and new-to-market vehicles.

The local arms of Ford, Foton, GAC, GWM, Mahindra, Mitsubishi Motors and Toyota will showcase their vehicles at sites around the 114-hectare venue near Hamilton this week.

Other exhibitors include Auto Distribution Holdings, BYD/RAM/Fiat Professional, General Motors Specialty Vehicles, and JAC, which is also one of the event’s major sponsors.

Adding to this year’s line-up of automotive businesses are Custom Utes NZ, Maxim Automotive and a number of other companies that sell vehicle accessories, caravans, trailers or tyres.

Feature areas at Fieldays will allow visitors to explore emerging technologies, career pathways, sector insights, and the latest developments shaping the future of agriculture and rural industries.

These are showcased across a range of hubs, including innovation, careers and education, forestry, health and wellbeing, rural advocacy, and a drone zone.

Competition highlights over the four days include tractor pull, fencing and excavator Competitions.

A gate prize is on offer for visitors this year, with every personalised ticket entering the venue giving its holder a chance to win a JAC T9 Ute and $10,000 of Stoney Creek gear.

Richard Lindroos, New Zealand National Fieldays Society chief executive, says: “Fieldays stands as one of New Zealand’s true mega events, a place where industry, community, and innovation converge at scale to shape the future of agriculture.”
