Vehicle partner for Breakers
Omoda Jaecoo is teaming up with New Zealand’s only National Basketball League (NBL) team, the BNZ Breakers.
As the club’s official vehicle partner for the upcoming season, it is supplying a 12-strong fleet consisting of Jaecoo’s new-energy models. They include the J5 EV, J5 SHS-H and J7 SHS-P, which can travel up to 1,200km on a single charge.
“This collaboration represents another step in our commitment to engaging communities, and supporting organisations that embody ambition, teamwork and drive for excellence,” says Roy Munoz, chief commercial officer of Omoda Jaecoo Australia and New Zealand.
Over the club’s 23 years, the Breakers have established themselves as a leading force in basketball down under with four championships from 2011-13 and in 2015. They are only the second team in NBL history to record a three peat.
Troy Georgiu, chief executive, says: “We are delighted to partner with Omoda Jaecoo and its range of vehicles. Our team will be proud to have the brand on our uniforms in NBL27 and be seen driving its cars around Auckland.”
The Breakers’ 2026/27 season tipped off on September 20 with a win over the Illawarra Hawks.
