One not-so-careful owner

A father and son mistakenly think they are snapping up a car that has been delicately driven over the years when they buy it from a timid, elderly woman.

However, the seller in the Volkswagen advert, titled Old Lady, has a surprising past and viewers see her having flashbacks of recently tearing around in the red Golf at high speed.

The commercial first appeared in the Netherlands in 2011 and ends with the strapline: “You cannot trust every old lady. But you can trust every Golf ”.
