MIA launches DataHub

The Motor Industry Association (MIA) has officially launched the MIA DataHub, a platform designed to modernise how new-vehicle sales data is managed and reported in New Zealand.

Developed in partnership with InfoAgent, the system provides a secure and flexible platform for new-vehicle sales reporting, and creates a stronger foundation to deliver timely, reliable and valuable insights.

The DataHub represents an important benefit for MIA members by providing access to improved reporting tools and industry information.

For the wider industry, the platform enables approved access to automotive data products and insights to support better decision-making across the market.

InfoAgent, as the MIA’s partner, will manage all data queries, including access to available products, subscriptions and tailored data solutions.

Aimee Wiley, the MIA’s chief executive, says the launch is an important step in ensuring the association’s data is managed professionally and used in ways to deliver value to members and the wider sector.

“For our members, it provides a more modern and accessible way to engage with key industry reporting. For the wider market, it creates new opportunities for approved access to high-quality automotive data and insights.”

Wiley, pictured, describes the partnership with InfoAgent as being central to developing a secure and sustainable model for the use of the MIA’s data.

“InfoAgent brings technical expertise and commercial data experience that has helped us turn a complex reporting environment into a professional-grade platform,” explains Wiley.

“This launch is the first stage of a broader programme of work to modernise the MIA’s data services, improve accessibility, and support the future needs of members and industry.”

Chris Knight, chief executive officer of InfoAgent, says his company is pleased to support the launch of the new platform.

He adds: “We’re proud to partner with the MIA on the DataHub and support a more streamlined, secure way for approved users to access automotive data and insights. It’s now live with data access and product enquiries managed directly by InfoAgent.”

Organisations outside of the MIA’s membership with an interest in accessing industry data should email Angela Drake, customer partnerships lead at InfoAgent, at enquiries@infoagent.co.nz.
