Ute set for Fieldays debut

LDV New Zealand will unveil its “segment stimulating” Terron 9 to the Kiwi public for the first time at Fieldays later this month.

The marque says the new workhorse is built for our roads, worksites and weekends away. It packs 163.5kW of power, 520Nm of torque and a 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity.

The four-wheel drive, diesel-powered ute joins LDV’s T60 line-up and will form the centrepiece of the brand’s site as it returns to Mystery Creek from June 11-14 after making its debut at the event in 2024.

Attendees will be able to meet the marque’s ambassadors. Queenstown-based qualified carpenter Chelsea Roper, of She Builds Bro fame, will be making the trip north to catch up with the crowd on the Friday and Saturday.

The Morning Shift’s Jordan River, Marc Peard and Brook Ruscoe, who host the number-one produced podcast in New Zealand, will make an appearance on the Saturday. Professional rugby player Katelyn Vaha’akolo will also be on-site on the same day.

LDV will have exclusive Fieldays offers, especially for those purchasing at the event. These include receiving a free accessory pack valued at $3,000 when any LDV vehicle is bought. The offer runs until June 30.

Kym Mellow, general manager of Inchcape NZ, which distributes LDV here, is confident the Terron 9 will set a new benchmark for utes and is looking forward to seeing the public’s reaction to it.

“It is built for power, designed for versatility and is ready to redefine the ute experience,” he says. “Expanding our range, the Terron 9 brings toughness, intelligence and performance to the next level.”

LDV’s site at Fieldays will have four other vehicles on display – the T60 Elite, T60 Lux, T60 Max Plus and Deliver 7.
