Updates for ‘Kiwi favourite’

Ford New Zealand has revealed pricing and specifications for its 2026.50 Everest range, which is headlined by the Active – a “new entry point for the family”.

The updated line-up marks a strategic shift for the SUV with the Trend ceasing production as the model’s starting point.

Available with a two-litre turbo powertrain, the Everest Active’s standard features include leather-accented seats, 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with Sync 4A, 18-inch alloys, privacy glass, tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and LED headlamps.

The Sport, pictured, will have two and three-litre V6 powertrain options and come with (TPMS). The Wildtrak and Platinum have three-litre V6 turbo-diesel engines. The Everest Tremor returns as a special edition powered by a three-litre V6.

The Active starts at $68,990. Then it’s $77,490 and $85,990 for the two-litre and three-litre Sport respectively. The Wildtrak is $88,990, Tremor SE starts at $89,990 and Platinum is priced from $93,490, all including GST plus on-roads. First deliveries are slated for mid-2026.

“The Everest continues to be a Kiwi favourite with its five-star safety, three-and-a-half tonne towing and go-anywhere capability,” says Mathew Slade, marketing director of Ford NZ. “In 2025, it was the number-one selling large SUV in the country for the third year in a row.

“The introduction of the Active allows us to build on this momentum by offering a bold personality at the entry point of the range. It doesn't compromise on presence or essential features.

“By listening to customers, we’ve refined the line-up to ensure every Everest provides the capability, safety and technology New Zealanders expect from a premium SUV.”
