Mercedes-Benz celebrates network
Mercedes-Benz New Zealand has recognised “outstanding business performance and individual excellence” across its network with its 2025 Retailer of the Year awards.
Mercedes-Benz Botany and Hamilton-based Ingham Prestige were hailed as the marque’s top two performing retailers in New Zealand and inducted into the marque’s Circle of Excellence. The former also clinched the Retailer of the Year prize for the fourth consecutive year.
Representatives of the two dealerships will now be invited to Europe to attend the Global Mercedes-Benz Product Forum in Stuttgart, which will provide an opportunity to gain insight into future products and strategy
Mercedes-Benz Botany, part of Armstrong’s, dominated the annual prizegiving and its staff scooped five of the nine individual gongs on offer.
Petra Morley was named business manager of the year for the third time in a row and Jia Yang took out the sales consultant category for high-value vehicles.
The company’s other winners were Arno Human scooping the sales manager honour, Steve Mason claiming the prize for top service and Darryl DuToit winning parts manager of the year.
Jason Corlett added to Ingham Prestige’s successful night and was crowned sales consultant of the year for top end vehicles.
Other winners included Victor Zhang and Jessica Skinner from Mercedes-Benz North Shore and Harrison Hall from Mercedes-Benz Dunedin.
Jason Nomikos, director of network development and customer services for Australia and New Zealand, acknowledged the commitment across the Mercedes-Benz retail network and thanked teams for their focus on customer experience, operational excellence and brand leadership.
“These awards reflect the strength of our network and the passion of our people,” he says.
“Every team member plays a vital role in delivering the premium experience our customers expect, and it is a privilege to recognise the retailers who consistently set the benchmark.”
The awards night held this month brought together representatives from the company’s retailers and included former All Blacks captain and business leader Sean Fitzpatrick as special guest.
Helen Sunley, newly appointed general manager of Mercedes-Benz New Zealand, adds the event highlights the importance of strong partnerships and shared ambition across the network.
“Our retailers are at the heart of the Mercedes-Benz brand in New Zealand,” she notes. “Their commitment to excellence, innovation and customer care continues to elevate the experience we deliver.
“We are proud to celebrate their achievements and thank them for the passion and professionalism they bring to the brand every day.”
