Mini frighteningly reassuring

Mini produced a horror movie spoof to mark Halloween and showcase the space and safety of its Countryman model.

The commercial parodies classic scary tropes and slasher villains and begins with a young couple fleeing from a shadowy figure.

The pair jump into a Mini Countryman but before they can drive away a hockey-masked maniac, similar to the one from Friday the 13th, clambers into the backseat.

In a surprise twist, he starts screaming as well before an equally terrifying and terrified psychopath, reminiscent of Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, puts his weapon into the boot and also gets into the car.

The campaign, which screened around Halloween 2013, then reveals what they all consider a more frightening sight – a crowd of young girls dressed as princesses running amok.
