SUV coming to NZ?
Subaru is evaluating the introduction of the all-new Uncharted, the brand's latest battery electric vehicle, for the New Zealand market.
The marque says the Uncharted combines electric performance with the capability, practicality and confidence that its customers have come to expect.
While Kiwi availability has yet to be confirmed, the Unchartered is under consideration as part of Subaru NZ’s future product plans.
Overseas specifications highlight the brand’s “commitment to delivering a capable and versatile electric SUV”. The car features Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel-drive system and is powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 252kW.
Energy is supplied by a high-capacity 74.7kWh CATL battery, delivering a targeted driving range of up to 522km on the WLTP.
The Unchartered is also expected to offer DC fast charging from 10-80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes, acceleration from 0-100kph in around five seconds and 211mm of ground clearance, “reinforcing Subaru’s reputation for confidence on a variety of road conditions and terrains.
Practicality is further enhanced through vehicle-to-load functionality, providing access to a 220V/1,500W power outlet for powering external devices and equipment.
Inchcape NZ’s general manager, Paul Mallard, says: “The Uncharted represents an exciting addition to Subaru’s growing global electrified line-up, and demonstrates the brand’s ongoing commitment to delivering vehicles that combine capability, safety and everyday usability.”
While no announcement can be made now regarding local timing, specification or pricing, Subaru NZ is inviting customers interested in learning more about the Uncharted to register their interest. The SUV will be on display at the upcoming NZ EV & Tech Expo from November 13-15 at Auckland Showgrounds.
