Major series on the box

A new broadcast package put together by summer series promoters NextGen and backed by Toyota Gazoo Racing New Zealand (TGRNZ) will take both the latter’s major championships to a potentially global audience.
TGRNZ will be the major broadcast partner for the Repco NextGen NZ Motorsport Championship. Sky Sport NZ has committed to live coverage across the 2025/26 summer season, and the Bridgestone GR86 Championship and Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy will feature.
All six rounds of the Repco NextGen NZ Motorsport Championship will be broadcast live or as live on Sky Sport NZ, while TGRNZ has committed to live and free broadcasting of all its Bridgestone GR86 and Castrol Toyota FR Oceania Trophy races on its YouTube channel.
International coverage will also be available on popular website motorsport.tv throughout the season, while Australian-specific coverage is set to be confirmed soon.
The forthcoming Castrol Toyota FR Oceania Trophy should provide one of the fullest and highest quality grids seen in New Zealand in the past 20 years with two new world-class teams bringing the total to six and the promise of a grid full of aspiring young drivers.
The Repco NextGen NZ Championship is Motorsport NZ’s premier race series. It is focused on celebrating talent, developing drivers, captivating fans, and being sustainable, successful and surprising.
The championship is headlined by the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy, Bridgestone GR86 Championship, GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS, Monochrome GT4 Australia Championship, Summerset GT New Zealand Championship, TA2 New Zealand Championship, NZ Porsche Championship, GTRNZ, NAPA Central Muscle Cars, the NAPA Auto Parts NZ Formula Ford Championship and Formula Atlantic.
The second season of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship will span six events from November through to March 2026.
After the opener at Hampton Downs, it starts a four-event swing in January that includes back-to-back rounds at Hampton Downs, Taupo, Teretonga near Invercargill and the 70th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix at Highlands Motorsport Park. The finale will be held at Manfeild, near Palmerston North.
