Lotus opens new showroom
Lotus of Auckland has opened a new showroom and pulled the covers of an all-new hyper GT, with the model’s range-topping variant able to clock 0-100kph in just 2.8 seconds.
The dealership, part of the Giltrap Group, has relocated to 138 Great North Road, Auckland, and the official public reveal of the showroom, pictured above, is happening at 9am on Saturday, August 24.
The event will also be a chance to show off the Lotus Emeya, pictured, below, an electric sports sedan that will be available to New Zealand consumers in three variants – one with entry-level features, an S version and a top-of-the-range R model.
While the Emeya R can reach 100kph in 2.8 seconds, the other two offerings achieve the sprint in 4.2 seconds.
All models have a 102kWh battery pack and the R offers 435km of range while the S and entry-level version can cover between 500km and 580km on a single charge.
More details on specifications and pricing are due to be released this month.
A number of invited guests joined Chris Parker, Lotus of Auckland brand manager, and Giltrap Group staff at a special opening of the showroom and the launch of the Emeya on August 15.
