Jeep goes wild with fishy ad
Jeep decided to forego an expensive advertising spot during this year’s Super Bowl and instead ran an online campaign before the big game this month that went fishing for laughs.
The commercial, entitled “Billy Bass Goes to the River”, pokes fun at the usual sentimental car ads that screen during the showpiece of the American football season.
Featuring Jeep’s Cherokee Hybrid, the advert shows a boy wanting to take a wall-mounted, singing, electronic fish from the family home and release it into a river.
The parents acquiesce, but the touching tale takes a hilarious turn once the Big Mouth Billy Bass is set free and encounters the local wildlife.
