BMW’s ix3 is slated to arrive here in middle of 2026 with the 50 xDrive guise priced from $125,900.

While the 50 xDrive is being offered at the initial launch, the marque has indicated other fully electric variants could be set to follow in the future.

It features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive drivetrain producing 345kW of power and 645Nm of torque. It can make the 0-100kph in 4.9 seconds has a top speed of 210kph.

The SUV has a range of up to 805km on the WLTP thanks to its 108kWh battery and sixth-generation eDrive technology.

Its 800-volt architecture supports 400kW DC fast-charging, which means it can charge from 10-80 per cent in about 21 minutes and add more than 350km of range in around 10 minutes, while 22kW AC charging is standard for fuelling up at the office and home.

Inside, the BMW’s panoramic vision system makes its debut. It projects key vehicle information – from driving dynamics to infotainment – across the width of the lower windscreen between the a-pillars.

Kiwi specifications for the 50 xDrive includes an M Sport Package, 20-inch alloy wheels, Harman Kardon audio system, panoramic glass sunroof with climate-comfort glazing, heated multi-functional seats, and advanced safety such as parking assistant plus and active cruise control.

BMW’s eDrive technology is the core, scalable electrified powertrain system used in fully electric and plug-in models, integrating a high-voltage battery, electric motor and intelligent energy management. It delivers instantaneous torque, emissions-free driving and enhanced efficiency through energy recuperation.
