Changes at Avanti

Avanti Finance has appointed Tracy Pennell as chief operating officer as the specialist lender strengthens its executive structure to create better alignment and clearer ownership across its operations, risk and business areas.

Pennell’s appointment expands on her current role as general manager of strategic delivery. In her new position, Pennell, pictured above, takes on responsibility for key operational areas with a focus on strengthening execution and improving how Avanti delivers for customers and partners.

Fred Ohlsson, chief executive officer of the Avanti Finance Group, says the changes are about organising the business for its next phase of growth.

He adds: “As Avanti continues to grow, we need the right structure, leadership and focus in place to keep improving how we operate and support customers and partners.

“Tracy has a strong execution focus and deep understanding of our business. Her appointment as chief operating officer gives us dedicated leadership across key operational areas as we continue to scale.”

Robson’s remit expanded

Lee Robson, pictured below, who previously led Avanti’s auto business also takes on responsibility for personal lending as general manager of auto and personal.

Bringing auto and personal together aims to support continued growth and deliver faster, more consistent service for dealers, brokers, advisers and clients

Ohlsson says Robson’s expanded remit will help Avanti build on its investment in systems, people and service capability, including its partner portal.

“Lee is well-placed to lead this expanded area,” adds Ohlsson. “He has strong experience across auto lending. Bringing auto and personal closer together will give us greater scale across our BDM network and operations, while supporting a faster, more consistent service experience for introducers and customers.”

The Avanti Partner Portal, launched in April for auto and personal, has taken these areas into a more consistent platform and workflow with automated decisions, self-service functionality, instant contract generation and faster settlements to help introducers manage applications more efficiently.

Ohlsson says the changes reflect the company’s focus on organising it for growth and backing introducers with the right people, systems and service. “This is about making it easier and faster for our partners to do business with us while making sure we have the leadership structure in place to support our continued growth.”
