Y63 Patrol ‘honours heritage’
Would-be buyers can now register their interest in the Y63 Patrol with the next-generation flagship scheduled to arrive in showrooms across New Zealand during 2027’s first quarter.
The all-new 4x4 brings a range of firsts to the nameplate spanning powertrain, chassis, driver assistance, comfort and in-cabin technology.

“The all-new Y63 Patrol honours that heritage while taking a significant leap forward. More powerful, polished and capable than ever, we can’t wait to put it in our customers’ hands early next year.”
For the first time, the Patrol is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that builds on the brand’s GT-R engineering. Producing 317kW and 700Nm, it’s paired with a new nine-speed automatic transmission.
The powertrain delivers 19kW more power, sharper response and 140Nm more torque than its predecessor. Peak torque is also available earlier in the rev range for stronger performance across everyday driving, towing and off-road conditions.
The V6 also incorporates a scavenger oil pump to maintain consistent engine lubrication during extreme off-road driving, including steep inclines and off-camber terrain.
Select grades of the all-new Patrol will offer adaptive air suspension for the first time. Paired with Nissan’s newly available intelligent dynamic damping, which continuously adjusts to changing road and terrain conditions, the system enables the vehicle to raise or lower its ride height.
For a Patrol and segment first, select grades feature biometric cooling. This intelligently monitors passengers’ temperatures on entry and, when activated at vehicle ignition, automatically adjusts the climate-control settings to help set up a comfortable and cool cabin environment for the ride ahead.
The all-new Patrol features a monolith display that anchors the cabin, presenting infotainment, navigation, vehicle and connectivity information. On select grades, the monolith features dual 14.3-inch screens.
A head-up display features on some variants for the first time, projecting key information into the driver’s line of sight so essential details can be read without looking away from the road.
