Tractor takes to the skies

It’s not every day you see a tractor flying off a mountainside, but that’s exactly what happened in Europe when a daredevil driver took part in an annual paragliding competition.

The competitor taking part in last year’s Coupe Icare near Grenoble, France, hooked up a lawn tractor to a paragliding wing before rolling down a mountain and getting airborne.

The event in the French Alps features paragliding, sky-diving and kite flying, and a costume contest that attracts some more unusual entries, such as the tractor, reports The Drive.

The clip below of the vehicle making its scenic flight is impressive, although there’s no evidence to show how smooth, or otherwise, the landing was.
