The 2019 Congress aims to deliver a comprehensive five-day programme centred around eight broad themes:

- Intelligent, connected and automated vehicles

- Sustainable smart cities
- Multimodal transport of people and goods
- Safety for drivers and vulnerable users, policies, standards and harmonisation
- Innovative pricing and travel demand management
- Cybersecurity and data privacy

"ITS New Zealand, together with ITS Australia and ITS Asia-Pacific, have acquired a large stand in a very prominent location. It will act as a base for New Zealand delegates with high visibility as well as events to guarantee great networking and business development opportunities," says ITSNZ.

"We are looking forward to working with our members, representing New Zealand and promoting our innovative ITS projects and initiatives."

ITS World Congress Youth Leadership Development Programme

ITSNZ extends its congratulations to Amelia Samandari and Amy Strang selected from numerous applicants to represent New Zealand and joining the eight-day ITS World Congress Youth Leadership Programme funded by ITS Asia-Pacific.

Youth leaders will work together in groups in an ideathon to ideate on “Grand Challenge” topics and present to a distinguished panel during the 26th ITS World Congress 2019. The best work will be awarded at the ITS World Congress Closing Ceremony.

"We look forward to supporting both students to ensure they get the most from this exciting opportunity," adds ITSNZ.
