The limited-edition Subaru BRZ tS Kiiro is set to brighten up the marque’s showrooms across the country this month but only 10 units will be available.

Taking its name from the Japanese kanji script meaning “yellow”, a colour symbolising energy, optimism, and unrelenting passion, the special BRZ is priced at $62,990.

It is powered by a 2.4-litre Boxer engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission and is available solely in sunrise yellow.

Other features include Subaru Tecnica International (STI) components such as 18-inch black alloy wheels, gear shifter and push-button start.

Subaru says adding to the appeal of the BRZ tS Kiiro are a front strut brace, sports grille, yellow-accented interior, black shark fin and a unique Kiiro rear badge.

Buyers will receive an exclusive numbered presentation key box – from one to 10 - and an engraved key ring, similar to the BRZ tS Tsubasa special edition and the WRX special editions AKA, Tatsu and Todoroki.

Jerry Delaney, general manager of Inchcape, the distributor of Subaru vehicles in New Zealand, says: "Subaru has set a successful precedent of rolling out some stunning, limited-edition vehicles and the BRZ tS Kiiro is no exception.

“It’s brilliant yellow colour, combined with BRZ’s reputation as a driver's car, thanks to its superb Subaru engineering, means the 10 units will swiftly be snapped up from our Subaru Authorised Centres.”
