Road trip through rude-sounding village

An unusually named village in Austria had a trio of TV presenters cracking plenty of gags during a special road trip around Europe.

Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond decided to take a tour of destinations with names to amuse English speakers as part of an episode of their motoring television series, The Grand Tour.

The route took in places called Wank, Kissing, Petting and Wedding, along with a drive through the village of Fucking, which is located 260km west of Vienna.

Hammond, pictured, was left in hysterics after the satnav in his car accepted the f-word and had them heading in the right direction.

And after driving past the village sign the trio, who previously found fame on Top Gear, delivered a series of jokes and innuendoes related to the name.

However, anyone trying to find the village today may be disappointed after local authorities decided to rename it Fugging in 2021 after residents became tired of the ongoing ridicule from visitors and repeated thefts of signposts.
