Jaecoo New Zealand has confirmed its all-new J5 EV is set to arrive in dealerships next month and will be priced at $42,990, plus on-road costs. 

Features of the single variant include a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, glass roof with powered sunshade, ambient lighting and pet-friendly synthetic leather seats

On the exterior, there is large Jaecoo lettering at the front and rear, an EV-specific grille with active aero, slimline headlines, sloping roofline and 18-inch alloy wheels. 

A single electric motor produces 155kW/288Nm and sends power to the front wheels, while the J5’s battery has a range of 402km on the WLTP and can be charged from 30-80 per cent in 28 minutes via a DC fast charger. 

The SUV comes with the brand’s seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty, up to seven years of roadside assistance and an eight-year unlimited kilometre battery warranty.
