Pricing for Omoda 9

Omoda Jaecoo has announced its model line-up is expanding with the introduction of the Omoda 9 SHS (Super Hybrid System) in July.
Priced from $68,990, plus on-road costs, it is being offered in one “generously appointed” variant the Virtue.
“The Omoda 9 is the next step for the brand,” says Roy Munoz, chief commercial officer of the marque in New Zealand and Australia.
“Mixing the perfect blend of style, performance and sustainability, it is more than just an SUV. It’s a statement of what our brand is capable of and showcases technological advancements.”
The 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 105kW and 215Nm, teams with two front electric motors and a single rear unit. The electric motors produce 75kW/170Nm, 90kW/220Nm and 175kW/310Nm (rear) respectively.
With a combined output of 395kW, this large SUV “accelerates like a sports car” and delivers a 0-100kph time of 4.9 seconds.
All-wheel drive is achieved through an electric motor powering the rear axle. Power is sent to the front wheels via a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.
Travelling up to 169km on the NEDC without charging, the battery has a capacity of 34kWh and can be charged from 30-80 per cent at up to 70kW on a DC fast charger in 25 minutes. In hybrid mode, the engine and motors work deliver a total driving range of up to 1,100km.
