‘Outstanding’ fuel efficiency

The all-new Kia Seltos, with its sticker starting at $39,990, is available in a mixture of variants with a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid engine as standard.

Depending on the model, fuel consumption is as low as 4.5l/100km and the powertrain meets Euro 6d emission standards.

The Seltos is available as two-wheel drive or eAWD, producing 112kW or 129kW of power respectively. All variants feature a six-speed DCT transmission to enhance the driving experience.

“The Seltos will build on the strong reputation of this familiar nameplate while meeting the evolving needs of new‑car buyers, many of whom are considering the move to a hybrid for the first time,” says Todd McDonald, managing director of Kia NZ.

“We are confident production from the Korean factory ensures we can deliver a consistent and high-quality product that customers have come to expect from a Kia.

“This new generation of the Seltos reinforces Kia’s commitment to expanding our electrified portfolio, delivering a more advanced package that will appeal to private and fleet customers.”

The hybrid Seltos range starts with the Light 2WD at $39,990 plus on-roads. The Earth 2WD is $44,050, the Water 2WD is $47,990 and the X-Line 2WD starts at $51,990.

Then there’s the X-Line eAWD, which starts at $55,490.
