Fiery ‘Hotbot’ defends car
A “Hotbot” dishes out some brutal punishment for a grubby-handed motoring journalist who gets too close to a car for her liking in a stylish advert from Kia.
The clip shows two glamorous, high-tech robots unveiling the brand’s Forte at a press event before a nerdy-looking reporter smears fingerprints on the vehicle, breathes on a window and then kicks a tyre.
The final act pushes the patience of one of the Hotbots too far and she springs into action by kicking him in the shin and hurling him across the room to help him learn to “respect the tech”.
Alyssa Campanella, Miss USA 2011, plays the feisty stand attendant in the advert that was screened during the 2013 Super Bowl, while stunt legend Gary Powell, whose credits include hit films such as Skyfall and Bourne Ultimatum, helped produce the campaign.
