Double-digit growth for Mini
Mini New Zealand has got off to a flying start in 2024 with 186 sales in the first quarter, which is up 16 per cent from the same period a year ago.
The double-digit growth was bolstered by the marque’s March sales rising by 85 per cent alone year-on-year.
Mini says it is in a strong position to maintain growth through the second quarter as its Countryman C and John Cooper Works are now available at dealerships.
“These two new additions are just the beginning of an exciting range of next-generation variants to be introduced into the New Zealand market in Q3 2024, including the popular petrol S variant alongside four new fully electric variants across the Countryman and Cooper hatch range,” the company adds.
The next-generation models incorporate Mini’s circularity principle of RE:think, RE:duce, RE:use and RE:cycle through the use of raw and secondary materials, as well as being 100 per cent chrome and leather-free.
Alongside their sustainability credentials, the vehicles also feature technology upgrades including a 240mm OLED screen in the cabin.
The new central display offers the Mini experience modes, which provide a bespoke range of sounds, visuals and colours.
Head-up display, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and comfort access come as standard across all models.
