Carro, which says it’s Asia-Pacific’s biggest used-car platform, has launched a campaign to plug its “drama-free and seamless buying and selling experience”. 

Shot in the Hong Kong crime genre, the advert takes us back to the Joseon Dynasty where even the king cannot escape tricksters trying to con him into selling his trusty ride for a fraction of its worth.

Carro’s No Drama ad series first launched in 2023 with three short films that tapped into typical cliches to juxtapose the drama-free nature of buying a certified car that’s “as good as new”. That campaign went viral with more than 38 million views.

The new advert is now running in Singapore, where Carro has its HQ, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. Part two is coming in June, so stay tuned.
