Canine caper stuns public

Onlookers were left flabbergasted when a dog appeared to be driving a car and pulled up to have a chat with a man who was asking around for help.

The prank shows a park worker asking passers-by for help before a vehicle with a pooch in the driver’s seat and its paws on the wheel rolls into view.

The man has a brief chat with the German shepherd before its vehicle pulls away, leaving many members of the public open-mouthed in surprise.

Thankfully, the dog hadn’t been let off its leash and gone for a joyride. Instead, it was all part of a stunt by the team at Just For Laughs Gags, with the actual driver of the car hidden in the back of the vehicle.

The footage, filmed in Quebec, Canada, has attracted nearly seven million views since it was first posted online in 2013.
